Delicious food. I visited there with my family and we had chicken gizzards, braised pork, wonton soup, ribbed pork soup. Everything is so good we finished all. Recommend
Came here for the first time on christmas, and my partner and I will be coming back here every time we are in York in the future! The food was so delicious and extremely well cooked, you can tell the chefs are professionals! The portion size of each dish is enough for two people and very generous, and the price is very affordable - about 12 to 16 per dish! For these 5 big dishes (big rice container included), the cost was only 63! The staff were also very kind and attentive, the service here was amazing compared to more expensive restaurants in York, and the restaurant itself was very clean and nicely decorated. It's not possible to find any fault in this place honestly, it's perfect, and probably has the best chinese food I've ever eaten! I really do recommend!
We just happened upon this place while walking up from the river and dock area. The food here was so good!! It is served family style which is a great way to try out a bunch of stuff. We had the broccoli in garlic sauce, Szechuan style chicken, spicy pork belly and beef braised in beer. We were served a large pot of steamed rice to share (for which free refills were offered but we didn’t need it). Our server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. They have hotpot as well but we didn’t get to try it. We were visiting from the US and sadly won’t be back soon but I will definitely be keeping this place in mind for my next visit to York!!
Szechuan York is honestly the best Chinese restaurant in the UK! The food is super tasty, full of flavor, and always fresh and hot. The service is amazing — everyone is so friendly, kind, and helpful. You can really feel they care about every customer. Perfect spot for a fun meal with friends or family. Highly recommend!
We went there for dinner with friends on the weekend. As soon as we entered, the waiteress greeted us warmly. We ordered three dishes in total. All the dishes tasted great. The fried green beans were very familiar to me, just like the ones my mother cooks. I recommend it. I will definitely come again.
Fabulous meal, Cantonese duck was the best I have ever had ,fluffy rice, noodles with bean sprouts, fillet of beef flambe Cantonese style, great service from the staff ,this is our second visit ,will be back in September, all the way from Glasgow x
This restaurant is likely to be relatively new to the area; however, I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I can confidently assert that the culinary tests were superior to those of the restaurants in London's Chinatown. Yes, I am serious. The Chinese Hakka noodles at this establishment possessed an authentic charred wok flavor that I was unable to find in any of the Chinese restaurants I visited in other parts of London. Additionally, the other dishes were exceedingly appetizing. The staffs are quite nice.
